Black Mountain Ranch

Located between two of Colorado’s finest cities, Vail and Steamboat Springs, this working dude ranch doesn’t play. Week long packages includes lodging, all meals, unlimited horseback riding, an overnight pack trip, a longhorn cattle drive, whitewater rafting, fly and spin fishing, rifle and trap shooting, archery, and a trip to a local rodeo. And that’s not even half of what is available. Summer and adult-only packages are also available. For the kids, the Little Wranglers program is available with child-oriented activities like horse riding, fishing, and crafts. As for hunting, not only does Colorado have the largest elk population in North America, but this area of the state has the largest concentration. Rates reflect a Sunday to Sunday time frame.
